Micro conference, Shane & Shane concert coming to Southwestern Seminary
Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary is partnering with SBC Worship (a division of The Worship Initiative) to host a Micro Conference on Worship and the Church on January 30, 2026, in MacGorman Chapel on the seminary’s Fort Worth campus. The one-day event will conclude with a concert by contemporary worship music band Shane & Shane.
“Our greatest desire is to encourage and equip local churches in their worship of the Lord Jesus Christ,” said Joe Crider, dean of Southwestern’s School of Church Music and Worship.
Crider and Robbie Seay of SBC Worship will deliver plenary addresses during the event, which will include three rounds of breakout sessions. Conference attendees will have the opportunity to choose from 15 different topics, ranging from developing a song-writing culture to navigating change; from preaching and worshiping through Romans to managing conflict; and from song analysis to encouraging the next generation of worship leaders.
“We have partnered with SBC Worship (The Worship Initiative) because of our shared vision in providing SBC churches in the Metroplex with resources and encouragement from trusted voices,” Crider said. “We also have the conviction that corporate worship should be guided and shaped by the Word of God.”
The conference is “designed to encourage all aspects of the Sunday morning gathering, so we are hoping entire church staffs and ministry teams attend,” he added.
Tickets for the conference, including an evening meal and preferred seating at the Shane & Shane concert, may be purchased here. Tickets for the concert only may be purchased separately here. More information about the events is available here.
