Dr. Sears serves as Assistant Professor of Biblical Studies at Texas Baptist College. Prior to his service at TBC, Dr. Sears was lead pastor of Oak Park Baptist Church in Jeffersonville, Indiana. During his time in Louisville, he served in multiple auxiliary roles at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Dr. Sears is the author of Heirs of the Promise (Lexham Press, 2015). He also contributed the article “New Testament Theology” in the Lexham Bible Dictionary (Lexham Press, 2014). He is a member of the Evangelical Theological Society.

Dr. Sears is married to Sarah and they have five children: Grace, Hannah, Andrew, Lillian, and Luke.
