Statement on closing of Department of Justice investigation

“The Department of Justice has notified Southwestern Seminary that the investigation into the handling of sexual abuse in the Southern Baptist Convention has concluded with no actions against the seminary. For more than two years, Southwestern fully cooperated with the DOJ throughout the investigation and is pleased that there were no findings of wrongdoing against the institution or current employees. We remain committed to ensuring the safety of all members of the seminary community.”
