Ways to COVID-proof your children’s ministry this summer
Children’s ministry will look different this summer, but ministry is never cancelled.
Last week on Ministry Now, we met with Karen Kennemur to discuss how churches can continue to do children’s ministry, even through a global pandemic and the limitations of social distancing.
Dr. Kennemur is the associate professor of children’s ministry and Bessie Fleming Chair of Childhood Education here at Southwestern Seminary.
This week, we’ll be joined by School of Church Music and Worship Dean Joseph Crider to discuss worship ministry strategies during COVID-19.

Free Disaster Relief training with SBTC
Next week, the SWBTS World Missions Center will be holding a virtual Summer Missions Focus on their Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. This will be an opportunity to learn about present and upcoming missions opportunities, including a free virtual Disaster Relief ministry training with the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention:

This course will give you an orientation into Disaster Relief ministry and help you to safely work in disasters. Upon completion of the session and proper documentation, you will be credentialed as an SBTC Disaster Relief volunteer.
Seminary Hill Press releases 40th anniversary edition of ‘Baptists and the Bible’
A 40th anniversary edition of Baptists and the Bible, a scholarly work that proved Baptists’ historical commitment to the inerrancy of Scripture as Southern Baptists passionately debated the issue, has been published by Seminary Hill Press, the publishing arm of The Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. The book was authored by Southwestern alumni and then-faculty L. Russ Bush and Tom J. Nettles.
“Few books stand the test of time. Baptists and the Bible is that rare kind of work that has not only stood the test of time, but is as relevant today as the day it first appeared in 1980,” says Southwestern Seminary President Adam W. Greenway in the book’s foreword. “Indeed, it might be argued that this classic in scholarship by Tom J. Nettles and the late L. Russ Bush about the total truthfulness, inerrancy, inspiration, and authority of God’s Word is even more relevant in 2020 as these matters again find debate amongst some evangelicals.”
